THIS WEEKEND MAY 22 and 23!!! PLEASE READ ALL!!! We at Southern Illinois Raceway have been continuously watching the Governor's orders along with the legal proceedings following. SIR took the steps to consult with an attorney who advised us of the right to due process through the shutdown and that there were proceedings to follow to ensure we were being compliant. We have completed those steps and are free to open! With that being said, things will look a little different at SIR to start the year. MOST OF ALL, if you are feeling ill, have a fever, cough or other sicknesses, PLEASE STAY HOME. Please follow with us: Pits: -COVID-19 Waiver Form MUST BE SIGNED -Please bring your own pen to use at sign in, we will have limited pens available for use -Plexi Glass Will be installed as a sneeze guard in all face to face situations -You will be responsible for putting your own pitpass band on once purchased -All trailers must be parked 6' apart. There will be NO reserved parking in effect this weekend -Social distancing protocols will be in force and must be followed. Please keep 6' between you and other viewers at all times -Hand sanitizer will be placed at pit sign in -Viewing from fence will be limited to crews and competitors that have a car ON TRACK -Only one crew member per car in staging -All waivers MUST BE SIGNED before entering the pits -You are to REMAIN in your vehicle until you reach the pit window -No more than 10 people per pit area -PLEASE try to bring EXACT CHANGE or CREDIT CARD to window Driver Entry: - All entry will be completed as normal at the pit windows -No tickets will be handed out for class entry, instead, your armband will be stamped with the number of classes you have paid to enter. -Driver will not write their name on the lineup sheet as normal. Tracy will draw in front of you electronically and your name will be placed on that line on the sign-in sheets as well as the electronic sign-in sheets -We will adhere to the 6ft distancing at the sign-in window -Transponders will be sanitized before being handed out and again when turned in -Driver's Meeting will be held via PA system -All line ups will be posted electronically through My Race Pass and through Southern Illinois Raceway's Facebook page -All Checks will be mailed to avoid any gathering Grandstands: -There will be no access to grandstands on Friday for practice -All tickets WILL BE SOLD ONLINE through My Race Pass. The link will be posted on our Facebook page and our website. There will be NO TICKETS SOLD at the gate -Tickets for Saturday's event will be limited to: 200 Adults 50 Children -There will be NO PUNCH CARDS this season. We apologize for the inconvenience but we are looking into the feasibility of delivering coupons virtually for our regular attendees -Social distancing WILL BE REQUIRED -Masks WILL BE MANDATORY -Hand Sanitizer will be made available at the front gate as well -Grandstands will be limited to FANS ONLY. No Pit members will be allowed to go into the stands Concessions: -Concessions will be open with distancing measures in place -Plexiglass will be installed and hand sanitizer will be available Most of all, we ask that you be respectful during this process and adhere to our rules to operate. We know it's not ideal, not in the slightest. Our goal is to provide a safe positive place for racers and fans. If you feel it is unsafe, please stay at home. With that being said, SIR will not tolerate constant negativity and if it persists, you will be banned from the page and face possible suspension from the grounds. Hang in there with us as we make this work too guys! As always, there's a lot on the table for the state this week and the situation is always fluid.
